Every command

Every command the bot answers, what it is for, and which page explains it.

What it does#

These are all the commands the bot understands. Tap the / button in Telegram to see them without typing. A command always acts on one cafe; if your Telegram is connected to several, the bot asks which one, and offers "All cafes" for the everyday five.

How to use it#

Everyday:

CommandWhat it does
/checkSays what is behind right now, without opening a launcher. See Checking what needs updating.
/update allUpdates everything, launcher by launcher. See Starting an update.
/update <game>Updates one game (a launcher name works too).
/statusThe result of the last run.
/gamesEvery game the updater knows on this server, with the name to type.
/stopEnds the run that is going. /stop all also closes the launchers.

Sometimes:

CommandWhat it does
/setupThe step-by-step wizard for the launcher sign-ins. See First-time setup.
/signinAsks the updater to sign a launcher in for you. See Sign-ins and security codes.
/codeThe security code a launcher asked for (Steam Guard, Battle.net, EA).
/epicOne Epic sign-in for this server, so the updater can ask Epic which version a game should be. Send it alone for the steps.
/dashboardA private link to your page: update times, pause, launchers, accounts.
/staffgroupMakes the invite that connects your staff group. See Your staff group.
/licenseHow long this cafe's licence has left.
/centersLists the cafes your Telegram is connected to.
/center <name>Talks to one of them for the next few minutes.
/startWhat Telegram sends when you tap a connect link; also takes a pairing code.
/skipKeeps the default cafe name when the bot asks what to call it.

Support (your provider will ask for these):

CommandWhat it does
/scanLooks for launchers and games again and rebuilds the list.
/ownersWhich account owns which Steam game on this server.
/bnetwhyWhy the updater thinks a Battle.net game is or is not behind.
/diagA short health report of the server and the updater.
/logsThe last run log, as a file.
/restartRestarts the updater's own bot on the server.
/selfupdateTakes the newest updater version from your provider.

What a staff group may send: /check, /status, /games, /update and /stop. Everything else stays in the owner's private chat.

Removed, and why:

CommandWhy it is gone
/reboot and /confirmRebooting a diskless cafe server stops every client PC in the room, so it was never the right answer from a chat window.
/bnetautoReplaced by the automatic Battle.net handling; nothing to switch on any more.
/askThe free-text assistant; the commands above cover what people actually asked.

What the reply means#

A command always acts on ONE cafe. When your Telegram holds several, the bot asks which one and offers "All cafes" for /check, /status, /games, /update and /stop. A reply that follows a question

Two replies are worth knowing:
